Josef Johann Adam (born in 1690, died in 1732) was the only surviving son of Prince Anton Florian. Already in his early years he joined his father in Spain, where he served for a short period in the military.
Later we find him in the army of the Duke of Marlborough fighting the French. After the peace treaty from Utrecht he returned to Vienna in 1713 and in 1723 he became Imperial Privy Counsellor.
But very soon he retreated from politics in order to dedicate himself fully to the administration of his estates.
