After the death of Prince Joseph Wenzel, the regency was passed over to his nephew, Franz Josef (born 1726, died 1781).
As Josef Wenzel's only son had already died in 1723, he was known to be heir to the throne.
Already in his youth, Franz Josef accompanied his
uncle in warsand on various diplomatic journeys.
Later on, not only that he showed great interest in economic problems,
but he was also intensively preoccupied with the art collection.
